アンドリュー・ダーシ―氏の長兄ルマ・ダーシー氏が急逝

友好協会の支援の下、現在関西医科大学に医学研究留学中のソロモンのアンドリュー・ダーシ―氏の長兄ルマ・ダーシー氏が急逝されました。同氏はソロモン政界の与党における政策顧問として各種政策立案にたずさわるという要職にあり、高濱理事長とも交流があった貴重な人材でした。友好協会は早速弔意と香典を留学中のダーシー氏に送付しましたが、これを受けて同人から深甚なる謝意を表明こしたところ、友好協会と同人との間で行われた一連のやり取り及び現地での葬儀の模様の写真を以下に掲載します。

Dear Mr Takahama
Today Professor Nishyama forwarded your message of condolences and the support from Japan Solomon Friendship Association. I would like on behalf of the family to thank you for the gesture. I will forward the support to meet the some of the funeral expenses. The family were initially all shocked but are satisfied that my late brother is resting peacefully at home.

This is to let you know that my elder brother Mr Luma Darcy passed awayyesterday.
While I am still in shock I won’t go home for his funeral and will striveto finish my study.
